I am conducting research regarding the implications of the changes to ISO 14001 for organisation, in association with Kirsten McLaughlin of Parsons Brinckerhoff and Dr Phil Longhurst at Cranfield University.

If you work for an organisation that has ISO 14001, and are involved with making the transition to ISO 14001:2015, you may like to take part in this survey; the results of which are likely to be of interest to you, and help your organisation make the transition. It should take you about 20 minutes.

In order to complete the introductory questions, you will need an understanding of the scope of your environmental management system, the year your organisation first achieved 14001, a copy of your 14001 certificate available, and basic information about your organisation such as approximate numbers of employees.

You will then be asked three questions about each of the main changes in the draft version of ISO 14001 in relation to your organisation:

  • How relevant is the change to your organisation?
  • How much change to your systems will be required?
  • Do you believe the change will lead to tangible environmental benefits?

A brief description of the key changes is included in the survey, or you can read about them in more detail on this website, by way of preparation.

The results will be anonymous, but at the end you have the option of leaving your email address. If you do, we will send you a summary of the results following close of the survey. In the spirit of collaboration, we will also email you to ask if you would like to be acknowledged as a contributor when the results are circulated.

By taking part in the survey you give your consent for the information to be analysed, and anonymous results to be used in papers and publications.

Finally, if you are attempting to complete the survey and get stuck for any reason, please feel free to contact me at marek@bms-services.com.
